Storage and use

Delivered freshly frozen. Keep a pack or two in the fridge and the rest in the freezer. Once opened, store in an air-tight container in the fridge. If needed quickly, submerge the unopened pack in a bowl of warm water.

Benefits of our recipes

Our Chicken Dish with Salmon is a low fat, lean chicken recipe, freshly cooked from wholefoods and RSPCA Approved chicken. Chicken is a wonderfully lean meat, full of calcium, phosphorus and zinc.

Our Beef Dish with Squash Grass-fed beef is an excellent source of B vitamins, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and omega fats. Beef helps your Fido build muscle and the vitamins and minerals can help keep your Fido's coat and skin healthy. With a moderate to high fat content, this meal provides energy that's perfect for active dogs.

Xandi is 6.5 months and I've really spoilt her with her food and bad habits.. as I still hand feed her kibble and food ive cooked. She won't touch supermarket canned dog food and I thought there is no way I can keep this up and ensure she is getting all the right nutrients required for a puppy still maturing. So I thought I'd give fido fresh a go via the TASTETESTER sample deal. And she has absolutely loved both dishes of Chicken and Salmon plus the Beef and Squash.. ive been mixing it in with her kibble on occasion or adding some of her favourite roast chicken and some bone broth. Even stand alone.. and I barely need to ever hand feed her, as she just goes and devours the meals. Such great value and customer service, plus has all the nutrients she needs as its fresh and I just portion it out into freezer bags and keep defrost it in the fridge one day before I feed Xandi. Just a zap on low heat for a minute in the microwave and easy served.. but if your pup doesn't mind room temperature food then you can skip microwaving or warming up.
I highly recommend fidofresh for fussy eaters without the astronomical price tag of other fresh foods for dogs out there. Give a TASTETESTER box a go. You won't be disappointed.

Peppa and Bear went through the chicken with salmon like there was no tomorrow. It was clear they loved it and they seemed to love the beef with squash even more.     How long will it take to get my order?

    Australian Standard Shipping:

    2 to 6 business days depending on your location.

    If you order before 11am, Mon to Fri, it's usually 2 to 6 business days (after 11am it will be 3 to 7 business days). If you're in a metro area it's very quick. Friday afternoon and weekend orders will ship on Monday.

    Australian Express Shipping:

    1 to 3 business days depending on your location.

    If you order before 11am, Mon to Fri, it's usually 1 to 2 business days (after 11am it will be 2 to 3 business days). Add an extra day for remote areas. Friday afternoon and weekend orders will ship on Mon.

    Do I have to be home when it's delivered?

    No, you don't you to be home. Our deliveries come to you through our cold-courier service, and you’ll be provided with an ETA before the delivery. The Fido Fresh insulated box keeps your Fido's meals at the right temperature until you get home. Once you arrive home, just put the Fido Fresh packs into the freezer.

    How much Fido Fresh should I feed my dog?

    Why is Fido Fresh lightly cooked?

    Every meat and vegetable is lightly cooked individually, then mixed in batches to seal in vital nutrients and maximise digestibility. No high temp vats. No additives or colours. By lightly cooking all our recipes it retains nutrients and minimises exposure to harmful bacteria.

    How do I transition my dog to Fido Fresh lightly cooked food?

    Start by mixing Fido Fresh in with your Fido's current food. Fido Fresh should make up about 25% of their meal in the first 1 - 3 days. Slowly increase this amount to 50% over the next 4-6 days, then to 75% on days 7-9 until your Fido is eating 100% Fido Fresh. If your Fido has a sensitive stomach or experiences minor tummy trouble, feed a smaller amount and slowly increase until they adjust to their new food.
